The RAM Companies hosted this year's first "Go On Tour" on Wednesday, April 11th from at their facility located at 5 Commerce Park Drive in East Hampstead. Attendees learned about RAM Printing's environmentally friendly practices and how these practices are good for the environment, the community, their clients and their employees. The event consisted of networking, a presentation by RAM, and tours of their state of the art facility.
RAM Printing was the first printer in New Hampshire to receive Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certification. FSC is an international, non-profit organization whose goal is to help manage forests and the ultimate use of forest products in an environmentally sound and economically viable way. FSC Certification confirms that RAM Printing has completed the "chain of custody" -indicating that at every point from pulp to paper mill to distributor to printer, all have received FSC Certification and the finished product ties consumer preference with responsible forest management.
RAM also has a comprehensive recycling program, uses vegetable-based inks and runs their presses alcohol free. RAM's prepress department runs in a digital, waste reducing environment and their plate processors operate without chemicals. RAM is proud of its recognition and designation as an FSC certified organization and will continue to be a champion for global and local responsibility toward planet Earth.
